If you have been riding with me long enough to remember that I am the Creator and Editor of my old blog, Flawless Fabs, you may have noticed that quite a bit has changed. More specifically, the name and whole look of the site has changed! Flawless Fabs will always hold a special place in my heart and may actually return at some point but I've decided to take more of working woman fashion driven approach.Read More
Winter has been so cruel to me so far. Let's just start there...
Not only has it held me hostage in the house due to winter storms, icy roads and bitter air but it's also left me with no choice but to eat myself to shame with holiday feasts and warm comfort foods! So with the extra weight gain and a little extra monthly bloating on top of that, I've been forced to pull out some effective strategies to hide the pooch.
One of my go-to tactics is to wear a high waist pencil skirt and pair it with a long scarf over a long sleeve fitted shirt. The high waist on the pencil skirt sucks in the lower half of the belly, adding some shape and the scarf hides the top. It's still sexy, classy and professional but also does the trick of hiding what you may feel a little more self conscious about.
Not to mention that a good scarf can add some personality to your outfit. It can turn a basic outfit into a complete look within 3 seconds.
Until next time...Later FABs!

I hadn't felt this way at all since starting my blog over the summer but I had this overwhelming feeling of doubt. I then realized that it was because I hadn't stayed in my own lane and decided to roll into someone else's, then crashed! Let me explain...Read More
Sooo, I'm totally obsessed with Issa Rae these days. She's such a talented woman who us "Awkward Black Girls" can relate to. Some may think that she blew up overnight but Issa really started from the bottom to become the HBO sensation that she is today. I definitely look up to her and admire her "realness." While watching YouTube as I do ever so often, I ran across an interview that she did with Roland Martin. She was explaining how there's so much creativity in 'brokenness.'Read More
Primers are definitely a major key for applying makeup but I have YET to find one that doesn't contribute to my oily skin. The majority of primers also serve as a moisturizer which is a plus but it just seems to materialize as more unneeded oil on my face. My skin gets sooo oily throughout the day. Issa midday struggle looking in the mirror at my oily face. Taking 30 minutes to beat my face in the morning, only to discover that my face is glistening by noon is a real disappointment.Read More
The line currently has 9 lipstick shades in the collection. The lipstick is a more of a cream with a satin finish. It’s a traditional lipstick with colors that look great against our skin. With that said, you may have to re-apply as the day goes on but I have found that I only had to reapply once or twice throughout the day. Although, they are not the liquid lipsticks or have the all-day staying power as many of the other matte lipsticks on the market, the Mented Cosmetics lipsticks do have staying power to last through coffee/tea and a meal or two.Read More

The purpose of this product is to remove the make-up so you would apply it to your face while you’re still wearing your make-up. As you are rubbing the oil in a circular motion all over your face, you slowly begin to add water which emulsifies the product into a milky cleanser, breaking down the makeup and removing impurities.Read More

I chose to name this blog, Flawless FABs, for one main reason. That reason being that I wanted to consistently remind women who they are- Flawless. Yes, we make mistakes and have imperfections but we pull it together and push through. That's what makes us Flawless! We are so busy doing what we have to do that we often forget.Read More
